🤝 Contribute
ArcLycée is not a finished project — it's a living one. Every week, new worlds, characters, mechanics, questions, translations and fixes are added. If you want to be part of this adventure, there are many ways to contribute.
A project under continuous development
ArcLycée was born in the Robotics class at the Liceo Francés de Santo Domingo in 2026, and it hasn't stopped growing since. What started as a prototype with a single world has become an educational RPG with 13 worlds, 600 questions, a complete encyclopedia, and an original soundtrack.
But there's still plenty to do. Every new version brings improvements, and every player who tries the game helps us discover what works and what we can improve. Development never stops.
How you can contribute
- Report bugs — Found a bug, a mistranslation, or something that doesn't work? Send us a message or open an issue on GitHub.
- Suggest improvements — Have an idea for a new world, character, quiz question, or mechanic? We'd love to hear it.
- Translate — The game is trilingual (ES/EN/FR), but it could expand to more languages. If you're fluent in another language and want to help, get in touch.
- Create educational content — Are you a teacher with activities that would work with ArcLycée? We can integrate them into the Learning Guide.
- Contribute code — The repository is open. Fork it, implement your improvement, and send a pull request. Read the Clone Us page to get started.
- Create art or music — Can you draw, animate, or compose music? The game always needs more visual and audio assets.
- Spread the word — Share the game with other teachers, students, parents, or Dominican archaeology enthusiasts.
For students
If you're a student interested in programming, this project is a great opportunity to learn. All code is documented in Spanish, designed to be readable by 13-year-old students. You can:
- Read the source code and understand how a 2D game works from scratch
- Modify an existing world or create a new one
- Add questions to the assessment bank
- Design a new enemy or NPC with their own story
- Improve the game's accessibility
For teachers
ArcLycée was designed for the classroom. If you use it in your classes, your experience is invaluable:
- Tell us which activities worked best with your students
- Suggest topics we should cover in the encyclopedia or quizzes
- Share teaching materials you've created from the game
- Help us improve the pedagogical documentation
For archaeologists and historians
Historical and scientific accuracy is a project priority. If you specialize in Dominican archaeology, Taíno history, Caribbean ecology, or cultural heritage:
- Review our content and point out inaccuracies
- Suggest academic sources we can incorporate
- Help us expand the Archpedia with verified information
